Route Map


From the magnificence of Great Pyramids of Giza, and desert secrets to the mysteries of Philae temple in south Egypt, this tour encompasses the highlights of Egypt. We will enjoy a walking through sand dunes as well as the Kings Valley. Our tour will take us from Cairo to southern part of Egypt through western desert, we will also have a change to live like an ancient Egyptian onboard of a selected Dahabeya sailing boat, which allows exploration of more remote regions and less visited temples.

Day 1

Meet and assist at Cairo airport and transfer to hotel in Cairo for overnight

Transfer to Bahareia Oasis and visit Valley of Golden Mummies and water sources in oasis

Using 4x4 cars, drive to the white desert, on the way visit Black desert, Crystal Mountain and reach White desert

Day 5

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Cairo

Meet and assist at Cairo airport by Stylish Holidays representative, and transfer to our hotel in Cairo for overnight

Day 2: Cairo

Breakfast at hotel, and then we will start our first visits in Egypt to the Egyptian Museum, and the most famous attractions in the world
We will drive through Cairo till we reach El Tahrir Square, where we will visit the Egyptian Museum hosting the largest collection of Pharaonic displays in the whole world including the startling treasures of King Tut Ankh Amun and the Royal mummies' hall, this besides many other exhibitions form different Pharaonic periods
Later, we will go to have our lunch en route to Giza, then we will reach the Pyramids of Giza, the most popular monument in the whole world, built by the pharaohs from the period starting from 2590 BC to 2480 BC, and after that we will see the Great Sphinx
At the afternoon, we will return back to our hotel for free time for relaxation or go to explore Cairo by night with one of Stylish Holidays optional tours in Cairo
Then, we will spend the overnight at hotel in Cairo

Day 3: Cairo – Bahariya Oasis

Breakfast at hotel, and then we will leave our hotel in Cairo and move towards Bahariya Oasis. Many sources of water make the oasis as a green island in a sea of sand. We will discover the sources of hot water, the palm tree alleys and the famous exhibition of the famous Golden Mommies
Later, we will have dinner at our hotel in Bahariya and overnight

Day 4: Bahariya – White Desert

We will enjoy our breakfast at Bahareya hotel, and then we will start our trip to White desert, on our way we will discover the Black Desert (according to the black basalt rock) and the Crystal Mountain. We will explore the White Desert and we will admire innumerable limestone formation shaped by the wind.
Later, we will setup our camp for first desert tent overnight after dinner

Day 5: White Desert - Dakhla Oasis

Early morning, we will have our breakfast at the camp, and prepare our cam and continue moving in the desert, we will see the native museum and then we proceed towards the most beautiful oasis of the Western Desert, Dakhla Oasis. We will visit El Qasr and Deir El Hajar, the ‘Monastery of stones’, a temple dated from the Roman emperors and later occupied by Christian monks.
Later, we will arrive to our hotel in Dakhla for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Dakhla Oasis – Kharga Oasis

We will have our breakfast at hotel in Dakhla Oasis, and continue towards Kharga Oasis. We will visit the Temple of Hibis, Bagawat cemetery and the Museum of Kharga
Later, we will reach our hotel in Kharga for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Kharga Oasis – Luxor

Breakfast at our hotel and our journey continues through the desert towards the Nile River. We will arrive to Luxor afternoon, and head direct to explore the most important landmarks in Luxor the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple
Later, we will check in at hotel in Luxor and have free time for an optional tour to explore Luxor city, or relaxation at hotel

Day 8: Luxor – Esna – Dahabiya Sailing – El Kab

Today after breakfast, we will cross Nile river to the Luxor West bank, where we will explore the major sites and monuments, we will start with Kings' Valley, then continue to Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossuses of Memnon. Later, we will be transferred to Esna, where we will find our Sailing Dahabeya waiting for us, we will embark onboard and the anchor will be lifted and the Dahabiya will glide silently across the Nile. The first stop is about 15km down the Nile at El-Kab. This was once a glorious city, but is now a city of ruins and rubble and a reasonably intact city wall. After we have a chance to look around, we will board our boat again, and continue sailing on to a small island for the night.

Day 9: Dahabeya Sailing – Edfu

After breakfast onboard, the ship will continue sailing to Edfu, and we will go to visit the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. The monumental temple of Horus, built in honour of the God with the falcon's head, is easily as impressive as the world famous temple of Karnak in Luxor. Later, we will return back to Dahabeya, and continue sailing on the Nile
We will have dinner and overnight onboard

Day 10: Dahabeya Sailing – Gebel El Silsila – Kom Ombo

Breakfast onboard and we continue sailing along the Nile again. After a while the ship will moor at the excavation site 'Gebel El Silsila' and the temple of Pharaoh Horemheb. Also, we will visit an ancient stone quarry where colossal stones were cut out for the temple of Karnak. After lunch onboard the ship we will sail on to one of the highlights of this Nile sailing tour, the majestic temples of Haroeris and Sobek at Kom Ombo. After our exploration at Kom Ombo temple, we will return back to our boat and continue sailing
At night, we will have dinner and overnight onboard

Day 11: Dahabeya Sailing - Daraw – El Koubania

We will enjoy our breakfast and continue sail towards the town of Daraw. Stroll through the town's dusty streets that lead to the colorful and lively markets. Later, we will return back to our boat and continue sailing to El Koubania, where we can meet the Nubians and find out more about their way of life. Later, we continue our way sailing with Dahabeya towards Aswan
We will enjoy our dinner and overnight onboard of Dahabeya

Day 12: Dahabeya Sailing – Aswan

After breakfast, we will sail till we reach Aswan, and we disembark the Dahabeya and transfer to our hotel in Aswan
Later, we will have a tour in Aswan to visit the High Dam, Temple of Philae and unfinished Obelisk
Afternoon, we will have free time in Aswan for relaxation or go for an optional tour in Aswan to explore more attractions
We will spend our night at hotel in Aswan

Day 13: Aswan – Sleeper train

After breakfast at hotel, we will have a felucca ride around islands in Aswan
Or we can have an optional trip to Abu Simbel, to explore the majestic temple of Ramsis II in Abu Simbel
At the evening, we will be transferred to Aswan railway station for an overnight sleeper train to Cairo

Day 14: Sleeper train – Cairo

We arrive to Cairo early morning, and then we will go for a tour to see more ancient Egyptian sites, we will start by Sakkara complex, the necropolis of the third dynasty of the Pharaonic Old Kingdom. This rich archeological site hosts a number of pyramids, with the startling step Pyramid of Djoser built in 2665 BC, which is the oldest proper pyramid ever built in Egypt and the most ancient rock structure built in the history of humankind. Also, there are many richly decorated tombs.
Later, we will go back to Cairo, and we will have our lunch en route back to Cairo. We will go after that to see Saladin Citadel, built by the great Ayoubid king and warrior, Salah El Dine Al Ayouby between 1176 and 1183 AD to protect Cairo and Egypt against the foreign attacks. The citadel became the seat of the power in Egypt for a very long period afterwards. Also, we will see the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali lactated inside the citadel. Mohamed Ali, who is considered the founder of Modern Egypt, decided to build this amazing mosque between 1830 and 1848 AD to look like the great mosques built by the Ottomans in Istanbul, like the famous Aya Sofia Mosque
After that we will go to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the largest and most famous touristic market in the world. It was built in 1382 during the Mamluk reign, is the best place to shop for Egyptian gifs and souvenirs to take home from Cairo.
Later we will return back to our hotel for free time and overnight

Day 15: Cairo – Final Departure

After breakfast at hotel, we will check our and go to Cairo airport for final departure flight
